Veteran Services Director
Darryl Heisey-Kootenai County Veteran Services Officer, Director
Darryl served in the United States Army as a 56M40H Chaplain Assistant Supervisor from 1982-2002. His duty assignments in the Army
are as follows: Fort Polk, LA with the 588th Engineer Battalion, 5th Infantry Division (Mechanized), Fort Richardson, AK with the
1st Brigade, 6th Infantry Division (LIGHT), Fort Carson, CO with the 4th Infantry Division (Mechanized), Fort Monmouth, NJ with the
United States Army Chaplain Center and School, Fort Jackson, SC with the United States Army Chaplain Center and School, Schofield
Barracks, Hawaii with the 25th Infantry Division (LIGHT), Fort Huachuca, AZ with the United States Army Signal Command.
He has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Resource Management from Madison University. He and his family moved to Coeur d'Alene, ID in
May of 2004, he worked at Sears in Coeur d'Alene from 2002-2004 as the Loss Prevention Manager. He has been working with Kootenai
County since September of 2004. He enjoys working with people and considers it a life-long vocation. He is accredited by the
National Association of County Veteran Service Officers. His favorite quote is from Jim Rohn "Help people with more than just their
jobs, help them with their lives". Darryl and his wife Anna have four children, Caitlyn Sara Olivia and Joshua. Son-in-law Matt
is currently serving in the USMC. He has one grandchild named Corbin. His favorite activities in life are spending time with his
family, church, carpentry, sports, bow hunting and camping.
