The Kootenai County Surveyor provides the following public services:
Review all city and county subdivisions for compliance with Idaho Code and/or county/city subdivision ordinances.
Obtain section corner location data using survey quality G.P.S. equipment and traditional survey equipment for producing accurate base maps for all departments.
Assist other departments with location based needs, particularly relating to county owned property.
Provide a liason between the county and the private land surveyor.
