The County Commissioners (BOCC, Board or simply Commissioners) is the governing body of Kootenai County. Consisting of three elected officials,
the Board serves as the taxing authority, the contracting body and the chief administrators of public funds. Among other duties, the Board enacts
laws, ensure compliance of laws and secures professional services for the county.
On 4/19/18, the Board of Commissioners signed Ordinance No. 522, which was the next step in the adoption of an opt-out provision
to the County Building Code. A copy of the ordinance can be viewed here.
The new fee structure related to this change has been published and will be considered by the Board on April 30, 2018. If approved,
