10/20/2014 - Kootenai County Advisory Boards
We are looking for citizens who are interested in serving on county advisory boards. These boards offer the public a greater impact on local decisions by providing recommendations to the appropriate decision makers. Applications for the boards are accepted throughout the year as vacancies may occur at any time. Currently, there are terms expiring on several advisory boards.
The boards that have vacancies are the Airport Advisory Board, Aquifer Protection Advisory Board, Waterways Advisory Board, Historic Preservation Commission, Board of Guardians and the Snowgroomer Advisory Board.

10/2/2014 - Secure Your Load
Kootenai County Code states that no vehicle shall be driven unless the vehicle is constructed, covered or loaded to prevent the possibility of contents or loads from blowing, spilling or otherwise escaping. Violation is a misdemeanor subject to Idaho Code 18-113 or its successor.
10/1/2014 - Collection Sites Closing-New Chilco Site Opening
The Garwood and Twin Lakes collection sites will permanently close October 1, 2014.

8/6/2014 - 2015 Budget Hearing
The Kootenai County Commissioners are pleased to announce the proposed 2015 budget of $79,646,264 is complete with no tax increase planned. Of this amount, $41,278,987 will be funded from property tax. The proposed budget is an overall increase compared to the current adopted budget of $75,105,242. Tribe, County jointly purchase Riverstone lots
Citylink will soon have a permanent presence in Coeur d'Alene's Riverstone development.

7/11/2014 - Public Awareness Program Aimed at Aquifer Protection
While most of us probably never consider it, liquids that flow into drywells and catch basins eventually end up in our drinking water-either directly or indirectly.
To raise awareness of this fact, the cities of Coeur d'Alene and Post Falls, in cooperation with Kootenai County, have invested $2,000 on stormwater disks that remind the public not to dump impure liquids.

The Coeur d'Alene Airport has just completed an update to its 2000 Master Plan. Please click here to view the website for the 2012 Master Plan.
